Cairo is Egypt's largest city and is also the capital. We have many holidays in Cairo to choose from which cover many of the traditions that are carried out to make you aware of the history and culture of this destination. The hotels in Cairo are mainly 3 to 5 stars so you can choose to stay on a budget or surround youself in luxury. All hotels are safe with adequate security and all have the facilities and services that you would expect them to have. The resort is a 45 minute journey from Cairo airport giving you enough time to look around at the surrounding scenery whilst getting an understanding for the location of your resort before reaching your accomodation.

There are some brilliant museums in Cairo, however an English speaking tour guide or an English guide book is essential so you are able to understand everything that you are seeing. The Egyptian Museum includes a hall of Mummies and also the Islamic Arts Museum. For some fantastic views whilst on your short break in Cairo you can take a trip up the Cairo Tower, which is 590 feet tall. Trips on the River Nile in a Felucca are especially good however if you prefer to be more active you can always try playing mini-golf, swimming, tennis, health clubs or you can even go even horse-riding at the Pyramids. You can go on many excursions such as visiting the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza or even riding a Camel

The restaurants in Cairo offer a variety of cuisines available including Lebanese, French, Moroccan, Italian, Indian, Chinese and Japanese, as well as plenty of traditional Egyptian food available. Also popular are Dinner cruises along the Nile so you can relax and dine whilst taking in the sights. Evenings have plenty to offer as well with bars, exotic shows, discos, casinos, belly dancers, theatre shows,live bands, dances, clubs and concerts for you to choose from. Most clubs are open until at least 3am as many people go out late and stay out late. The underground Metro iA good way of getting around is The underground Metro as well as taxis. Agreeing a fare with the cab driver before you agree to the journey is important. Trains and buses are also available.
The weather in Cairo is warm daily. During the summer months , temperatures can be as high as 43°C during the day and 7°C at night. The average minimum temperature in the winter is 14°C and in the summer it is 30°C but it can reach a lot higher than this. There is hardly any rainfall and normally when it does it quickly clears up . The hottest weather in Cairo is between June and August with December being the coldest. December still however can occasionally get to highs of 20.5°C.
