The rooms are spread out over 3 buildings and all rooms at the Intercontinental are air conditioned. They include junior suites, executive suites and 1 presidential suite. The facilities in the rooms include TV with sattelite, mini bar, safe, they offer impressive views of the mountains, pool and the sea. The buildings are linked through walkways and there are paths surrounded by tropical plants and gardens.

There are an extensive choice of restaurants and bars at the Intercontinental including the main Bay view restaurant with fantastic views of the Red Sea. There is a speciality sea food restaurant El Mar, The brand new Birds Nest Restaurant serving Thai cuisine. You can enjoy Spanish and Oriental dishes in the Lagoon bar and there is the Splash bar and Grill. You can enjoy more snacks and refreshments in the Arches bar whilst relaxing on its open air terrace or you can unwind in the Lobby Lounge bar.
Intercontinental Entertainment, sport and Leisure
The Intercontinental has a daily animation programme organised for guests, there are 2 free form outdoor swimming pools and 2 childrens pools, a childrens club from ages 3 to 12 years, there is a private sandy beach, a salt water lake, 1 squash court, 2 tennis courts, a gym and aerobics room, a spa with indoor heated pool, steam bath, jacuzzi, massage, beauty treatments and the facility to book various water sports as well as diving. There is also the 18 hole championship golf course right next to the Intercontinental resort.
